Here at Swim Buddies, we are looking for level 1 & level 2 qualified swimming teachers to join our growing team, but if you don't currently hold the qualifications to teach swimming then let us train you up. We have full and part time opportunities are available across the Darlington area.

Job Description
Swim Buddies have a passion for teaching children how to swim and we are dedicated to making sure we have the highest quality swimming lessons in the Darlington Area. Our business is growing and we are recruiting for a fully qualified teacher to join our expanding team. Ideally the right candidates will need to have a minimum of Level 1 or Level 2 teaching qualification with Swim England / STA, but there are also funding opportunities for the right candidate to get fully qualified with us too.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach small groups or 1:1 lessons.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons within the framework provided.
- Demonstrate correct swimming techniques.
- Create a positive and fun environment that encourages and motivates children to participate in swimming lessons.
- Identify ways to improve performance and review aquatic framework needs.
- Ensure all registers and swimming progressions are updated on a weekly basis.
- Make sure safety standards are followed and undertake risk assessments.
- Check life-saving equipment is in working order.
- Organise and supervise assistants and helpers.
- Agree to abide by a code of conduct in accordance with Swim Buddies and NGB policies, including safeguarding, health and safety and equal opportunities.
SKILLS
- Be positive and have an enthusiastic attitude towards swimming.
- Have patience and be a good communicator.
- Be professional and well organised for each swimming class.
- Have a great work ethic and enjoy being part of a team.
